NSW Smart and Skilled Certificates II and III for Individuals
An important notice about Smart and Skilled
Access Training Institute, Insight Training Group Australia, Kirana Training, Learning Lab, Maxis Solutions, and Precision Training Australia (Kirana Colleges) are all contracted training providers under the New South Wales Smart and Skilled program. The following qualification and pricing information remains current for existing students under Smart and Skilled, who enrolled on or prior to 31 December 2016.
Smart and Skilled is a reform of the NSW vocational education and training system. It will give people the chance to gain the skills they need to get a job and advance their careers. Provided you meet eligibility requirements, Kirana Workforce Development can provide a nationally recognised qualification through NSW Smart and Skilled.
This training is subsidised by the NSW Government. Qualifications are delivered by Kirana’s Registered Training Organisations through their collective scopes of registration; Kirana Training Pty Ltd RTO ID 52247, Access Training Institute Pty Ltd RTO ID 91498, Maxis Solutions Pty Ltd RTO ID 91428, Insight Training Group Australia Pty Ltd RTO ID 32142, Learning Lab Pty Ltd RTO ID 91341 and Precision Training Australia Pty Ltd 91808.
Eligibility Requirements
- To be eligible for this Smart and Skilled training individuals must be:
- Australian citizens, permanent residents, humanitarian visa holders or a New Zealand citizen and
- 15 years or older
- no longer be at school or equivalent*, and
- live or work in NSW
- *Individuals must have left school (whether by school education, an alternative pathway, or home-schooling).
- To be eligible for an exemption students must:
- meet the above program eligibility requirements, and
- be an Australian Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander, or
- have a disability
- To be eligible for a fee-free scholarship students must:
- meet the above program eligibility requirements, and
- be aged between 15 and 30 at the start date for training, and
- be receiving a specified Commonwealth benefit or allowance or be a dependant of someone receiving a Commonwealth benefit or allowance at the time of enrolment
- To be eligible for concession students must:
- meet the above program eligibility requirements, and
- be receiving a specified Commonwealth benefit or allowance or be a dependant of someone receiving a Commonwealth benefit or allowance at the time of enrolment
To be eligible for an exemption students must:
- meet the program eligibility requirements, and
- be an Australian Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander, or
- have a disability
