This qualification provides the skills and knowledge required for the roles of individuals working as developing and emerging leaders and managers in a range of enterprise and industry contexts. As well as assuming responsibility for their own performance, individuals at this level provide leadership, guidance and support to others. They also have some responsibility for organising and monitoring the output of their team.They apply solutions to a defined range of predictable and unpredictable problems, and analyse and evaluate information from a variety of sources.

Course Requirements

To gain the BSB42015 Certificate IV in Leadership and Management student or trainees are required to be found competent in 12 Units of Competency, 4 core units and 8 elective units.

On successful completion of this qualification participants may undertake the following qualification:

Entry Requirements

There are no entry requirements for this qualification. It is preferred that the student or trainee has obtained a minimum of a School Certificate or equivalent.

Students and trainees will need to be able to access and use a personal computer including internet connection, word processing and spreadsheet processing software, for example MS Word and Excel.

 

Student Selection Process

The selection process is designed to ensure that students or trainees are enrolled in the qualification that best meets their needs.

Selection criteria will take into account various factors when deciding upon which students/trainees will be offered places in the program including;

  • The student or trainee needs and desired outcomes
  • The ability and commitment of the student or trainee to complete the course;
  • Eligibility requirements listed in the applicable National Training Package;
  • Students existing ability in the ACSF core skills, (learning, reading, writing, oral communication and numeracy)

Students or trainees not meeting these requirements will be directed to more suitable qualifications or skill development programs.
